Date Night

Last night after work, Josh and I had a date night since he had a dentist appt at 3:30 pm. Dora dropped him off so she could go clean.  We had a fun night!  It started when we left work & watched an old man trying to get on Maple Ave but was in the wrong lane. He was in the 2 lanes for incoming traffic. It didn't faze him a bit when 2 other vehicles pulled into the hospital & barely missed him.   Then he V E R Y slowly pulled onto Maple after the light turned.  Before long, he was S P E E D I N G down Maple & pulled right in front of someone... Josh laughed so much at him.

Then we went to Lowes.... Now only Josh would discuss how you make hay while walking through Lowes. He is quite talkative when he is by himself!  So he said, Aunt Angie, can you tell me how to make hay? Do you know? So I told him about square bale haymaking & he said, well how about if I just tell you ok? He started to talk about the baler & said, well actually I will just start from when it gets mowed down ok? And proceeded to tell all about cutting hay, baling it with a round baler and a square baler, how the string works, the mechanics of the inside on a square baler. And how he wasn't exactly sure about a round baler but there is an alarm that sounds that lets you know when the bale is completed. Then we went to the paint counter & waited a while. Another man came to the counter & pretty soon he was waited on. I commented to Josh that we were the first ones there but I guess the other person needed waited on first.  Mr Josh said in his very scolding voice, Patience Angie, patience.

We stopped for supper at the DQ!  Then when we went to Dad's, Uncle Tad took Josh to bottle feed Buttercup. Which reminds me, Josh told me that he knows what he wants me to get him for his birthday and it's alive!  He said he wants a German Shepherd puppy & Mom told him she knows he'd take good care of one because he's the only one that takes Rusty out for a walk or takes care of the other animals!

Josh helped me load rocks in the bag of my vehicle & then we got the mule, of course he got to drive it since no one else was there competing for the driver's seat. We loaded more rocks for Dora & delivered them....   Quite a nice date night with my favorite 7 yr old nephew!
